Loaves & Fishes Food Ministry

Loaves & Fishes is a food ministry that provides groceries insecure families in Alamance and the surrounding 5 counties. The ministry distributes donations of food from the community to those families who do not have enough food. When local donations are insufficient to meet the demand, the ministry buys food at wholesale or less from the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, located in Winston- Salem. The ministry also picks up donated food from local grocery stores.

Aquatic Escapes encourages their employees to volunteer their time to help at Loaves & Fishes. The pictures below are from the postal workers food drive. Aquatic Escapes volunteered a truck to pick up the donated food from a local post office. We filled the bed of the truck with donated food. More info on Loaves & Fishes can be found on their website.
